FIFA World Cup Reflection
For those of you that are not fully off the grid, the 2026 world cup is coming to its end after an amazing tournament played across Canada, Mexico, and the USA. One of the biggest stars coming out of the tournament is Norway’s Erling Haaland. While he was already a mega star coming in as arguably the best striker in the world playing for Manchester City in the English Premier League and scoring goals at a truly absurd rate, the Norwegian fans, team, and Haaland's performances and personality have raised is status in our less soccer loving country and Americans cannot get enough of him.
If you don’t know who he is, look him up. He’s 6’5” and ~200lbs with long blonde hair. He’s incredibly fast and strong with many quick to point out they can see his Norwegian viking heritage. He also seems to have a great personality from his content. He posts Snapchat stories after games, he has a YouTube channel where he lets you into his everyday life, and perhaps most importantly you can tell he doesn’t take himself too seriously. The internet (at least my side of it) has fast become interested in his diet and lifestyle to see how it can be applied to the everyday athlete or gym goer. While most of these posts seem to miss the fact that his insanely high level as a professional athlete and training is probably not feasible or realistic for most people, there of course are things we probably can learn as well. He naturally eats very clean: grass-fed steak, raw milk, pasture raised eggs, lots of fish and the like. He also drinks coffee and in one of his videos he says he considers coffee to be a “superfood” when used properly. He goes on to mention the quality of the beans used and what gets mixed into it.
At Sneaky Brew, we also believe coffee is a super food when done correctly. That is why we focused on clean, healthy ingredients. We use organic coffee beans. Our coffee is decaffeinated using the Swiss Water Process, which is a 100% chemical-free, water-based method that removes 99.9% of caffeine from green coffee beans. We sweeten our lattes with organic cane sugar. We add a coconut MCT oil boost rather than take any shortcuts and rely on seed oils to thicken our lattes. While we may not be Viking superhumans, we are aligned with Haaland’s belief that the only way to do things is the right way, so crack open a Sneaky Brew decaf latte and enjoy knowing it was made the right way.
